How It Works
Stay at Your School. Earn Two Diplomas.
The U.S. High School Dual Diploma Program works alongside a student's existing high school education rather than replacing it.
Students remain enrolled full-time at their local high school, continue their local curriculum, and complete their local graduation requirements.
At the same time, they complete SIS coursework toward Solomon International School graduation requirements.

Two Ways to Learn. One Solomon International School.
Students can complete the U.S. High School Dual Diploma Program through Teacher-Led Live or Self-Paced learning.
Both are SIS academic formats with SIS teachers, coursework, assessment, grading, academic oversight, and official SIS credit.
What differs is the learning experience and schedule.
Teacher-Led Live
Structured · Live · Cohort-Based
The Structure of a Classroom. The Access of Online Learning.
Teacher-Led Live brings the structure of a traditional school classroom into an online environment.
Students join an SIS class cohort, attend regularly scheduled classes with an SIS teacher, and move through the course together according to an established academic calendar.
A Real Class — OnlineTeacher-Led Live
Live SIS Teacher
Classes are taught directly by Solomon International School teachers in real time.
Approx. 25 Students per Class
Students learn as part of a class cohort of approximately 25 students.
Scheduled Class Times
Students attend regularly scheduled classes rather than choosing their own study times.
Cohort-Based Learning
Students begin the program together and progress through coursework together.
Structured Academic Pace
Lessons, assignments, assessments, and deadlines follow an established academic schedule.
Direct Teacher Interaction
Students can see their teacher, ask questions, participate in class, and receive explanations in real time.
SIS Assessment & Grading
Coursework, assessment, grading, and academic progress are managed by Solomon International School.
Start Together. Progress Together. Finish Together.
Teacher-Led Live operates much like an in-person school program.
Designated Enrollment Season
Students must enroll during the designated enrollment period.
Set Start Date
Each cohort begins together on an established program start date.
Structured Calendar
Students follow the academic calendar established for their cohort.
Set Completion Date
Students complete the program according to the cohort's established schedule.
Online — But Structured Like School.
Teacher-Led Live is designed for students who want the flexibility of remote learning without giving up the structure, schedule, teacher interaction, and shared pace of a traditional classroom.
Teacher-Led Live May Be Right for You If You:
- Prefer a regular class schedule
- Want direct instruction from an SIS teacher
- Enjoy learning with classmates
- Benefit from established deadlines and academic structure
- Want real-time opportunities to ask questions
- Can commit to the cohort's established schedule
Self-Paced
Flexible · Individual · Teacher-Supported
More Flexibility. Still a Real SIS Course.
Self-Paced learning gives students greater flexibility to fit SIS coursework around their local school schedule, time zone, activities, and other commitments.
Students progress through structured SIS coursework according to their individual course timeline rather than attending a regularly scheduled cohort class.
Self-Paced Doesn't Mean Learning Alone.
Recorded by SIS Teachers. Supported by SIS Teachers.
SIS Teacher-Recorded Lessons
Course lessons are created and recorded by Solomon International School teachers.
Assigned SIS Teacher
Every Self-Paced course has an assigned SIS teacher.
Structured Coursework
Students complete SIS lessons, assignments, assessments, and course requirements.
Assessment & Grading
SIS teachers oversee grading, feedback, and academic progress.
Flexible Study Schedule
Students have greater control over when they study while remaining responsible for their course requirements and completion timeline.
Direct Teacher Communication
Students can communicate with their SIS teacher when they need academic help.
Live Teacher Support for Self-Paced Students
SIS Teacher Connect
Connect Face-to-Face With Your SIS Teacher
During designated SIS Teacher Connect hours, the assigned teacher for each course is live inside the SIS portal. Students can join the session to speak face-to-face with their teacher, ask questions, discuss coursework, and receive academic guidance.
- No Appointment Needed
- Face-to-Face
- Your Assigned SIS Teacher
- Inside the SIS Portal
Self-Paced May Be Right for You If You:
- Need flexibility around your local school schedule
- Live in a time zone that makes scheduled classes difficult
- Balance school with sports, activities, travel, or other commitments
- Prefer greater control over when you study
- Are comfortable managing an individual study schedule
