Solomon International School was founded in Washington State in 1994. What began as a private school in Edmonds has grown and evolved across more than three decades—expanding its academic programs, instructional formats, and educational reach while remaining rooted in American education.

FIRST SIS CAMPUS
EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
Solomon International School opened its first campus in Edmonds, Washington, in 1994.
From the beginning, SIS was established as a U.S. school serving students through American secondary education and preparing them for future academic opportunities.
This first campus established the foundation for the school Solomon would become over the following three decades.
GROWING IN WASHINGTON
A School Expanding Its Community
As the SIS community grew, the school expanded both its academic offerings and the ways it served students in Washington State and internationally.

1997Edmonds, Washington
Middle School Grades 7–8 Added
SIS expanded beyond high school by adding Grades 7–8, creating a broader secondary-school pathway for students.

2001Edmonds, Washington
Boarding & International Student Community
SIS opened a boarding/dormitory program for international students, expanding the school's ability to welcome students from outside the local area.
During this period, SIS also offered both In Person and Teacher-Led Live instruction.

2017Everett, Washington
Second Washington State Campus
SIS opened its second Washington State campus in Everett, extending the school's physical presence and continuing its growth in the region.
EXPANDING ACCESS
Beyond a Single Campus
As technology and student needs evolved, Solomon International School expanded the ways students could access its U.S. education beyond a traditional physical classroom.

Expanding Online Access
SIS expanded its online academic programs, making Solomon education accessible to students beyond its physical campuses.

A New Home in Bellevue
Solomon International School opened its Bellevue campus, continuing its physical presence in Washington State while supporting students through increasingly flexible instructional options.

Self-Paced Learning Launches
SIS introduced Self-Paced online programs, adding another way for students to access SIS coursework through lessons recorded by SIS teachers, teacher support, assessment, grading, and academic oversight.

From Washington to the World
More than three decades after opening its first campus in Edmonds, Solomon International School continues its work from Bellevue, Washington.
Today, SIS provides American academic pathways to students across different locations and educational environments through In Person, Teacher-Led Live, and Self-Paced instruction, depending on the program.
The school's reach has expanded beyond individual students as SIS works with schools and educational organizations internationally to bring U.S. academic opportunities into their existing educational environments.
The ways students access Solomon have evolved.
The foundation has not.
