One of the foundations of a Solomon International School education is awareness of, and service to, the global community.  Because of this, it is part of our core tradition to welcome students from around the world to SIS.  Our student community includes representatives from various nations and our alumni live all over the world.

I know SIS will always be in my memories as I move on in my life. Thanks to SIS, teachers, and friends, I am finally able to reach my dreams.

who counts as an international student?

International Student status includes all non-US citizens, as well as all Permanent US residents (US Green Card holders) and US citizens who have resided outside the US prior to attending SIS.  US citizens can qualify for Domestic Student status after establishing one year of residency within the US.   Permanent US Residents (Green Card Holders) can qualify for Domestic Student status after establishing two years of residency within the US.  Proof of residency may be required.

Application process

1) Download, Complete, and Submit the International Student Application.  (If the applicant is planning to stay in either SIS' Dormitory or Homestay, then please complete and submit the Dormitory/Homestay Application as well.)

2) Please collect all required forms (official transcripts, application essays, etc.) and submit them to SIS.  Original signed and sealed hardcopy transcripts will be required at the time of arrival at SIS.  PDF copies of the transcripts may be used at the time of application.

3) Submit payment for the Tuition Deposit.  Details for payment information and refund process are in the International Student Application.

5) If admitted to SIS, then it is the applicant's responsibility to apply for and obtain an F-1 student visa.  It is the applicant's responsibility to notify SIS once his/her student visa is approved.
